good luck to you all!! I really hope things go your way

is it worth sitting an exam that you haven't studied for at all ? (i should be getting sp.cons.)
If you can sit it and see how you go. If you don't do as good you can resit it later. Although remember if you do choose to resit it, then the score you get will be the score you get in the resit. So if you get like 70% in the exam, but then 60% in the resit, you get 60%.

Wishing you well with you exams Sjayne! Hope everything is fine, sucks you missed some of your exams.

And how's flora and fauna revision going? Have you liked the subject?
I've really loved the subject!

My plan is to revise through some of my notes for lectures that are still a bit hairy (e.g. Eric Tremmels marine bio lectures lol), and then do all the quiz questions again and then the sample exam.

Ah fair enough. By the way, with your study being interrupted and all, since we are doing the same subjects (genetics, FF) if there is any way where I can help you out in any of those subjects let me know. Be happy to help out, don't hesitate to ask :).

Do you guys have any tips for memorising the stuff in Theresa and Andrews lectures? I've been looking at them for days, and I just can't seem to memorise them.  :'(

I've just been breaking things down;

For example for Andrew's lectures; I broke everything down to;
- Protist absobers
- Protist consumers
- Fungi
- And the gradual development from liverworts/mosses -> Ferns -> Conifers -> Angiosperms

And then revolved all my notes under those sub topics, bolded all the key words and eventually it sunk in. Try to understand it as well instead of memorising, that also helps. So for example, understand why Ferns were able to grow more than 30cm unlike liveworts/mosses, why conifers develop seeds and pollen - instead of motile gametes, why angiosperms develop flowers and fruits instead of cones.

It will all make more sense once you understand the gradual developments. Just have to remember the key words and understand it. i also found picturing the life cycles very helpful.

Hope that helps

thats probably my lecture streams fault, for about 4 weeks there were about 10 people in each lecture and most were sleeping/eating/leaving early and i think he just wanted to punish us LOL mad props to graham though, top quality lecture slides and a mad bloke overall
in all seriousness, very hard exam, tested parts of the course that werent looked into in depth throughout the semester or in previous semesters exams', but the topics were all fair game.
