Don't stress at all, just take it easy. I'm sure they'll also be nice as lots of people haven't written a proper prac before. If worse case, just watch some YouTube tutorials, or Google prac templates, that's what I did for biology last year

For those doing the chem prac tomorrow, don't forget to do the Chemcal and bring your lab coat, saftey glasses/goggles, lab book and the carbon book. As for writing a prac report, I believe there's something at the back of the lab book that explains the parts that you need or was that in the first prac? Either way you can just ask your demonstrator. This was the layout I was told: Aim, Hypothesis, Method (Only write the method if it's a synthesis prac which the first one is and you just summarise it), Results, Discussion and Conclusion.

You can basically do aim, hypothesis and method at home. Don't forget to write down the synthesis equations somewhere in your prac report. Also you can work together as in do the steps with the person next to you or across from you while doing it on your own if that makes sense. Get to know your prac group, you'll all soon form a tight knit group that helps each other out. Oh and turn off your suction before removing the funnel. And when removing the funnel, use one have to cover the top and do a wiggle motion. I made the mistake of taking the funnel out without covering the top and 95% of my powder flying out. Needless to say I wanted to hide in a corner

Thanks guys! :D

Also does anyone know if I can change tutes because the current tute time for one of my subjects doesn't work well for my extra-curricular commitments. The subject has a tutorial hurdle requirement so I have to try to attend all of them.

For FNCE20004 Introductory Real Estate Analysis, does anyone know if there are tutorials running during week 1?

On the announcements it says "Please see the Subject Information section of the LMS for more information. Lecure and tutorial materials will be available closer to the start of classes", yet there is no tab for "tutorials".

I have a class in the afternoon tomorrow then I have the real estate class at 5:15pm. I don't wanna be waiting for hours only to find out there is no class. Should I assume there is class given no announcement was made?

Hi everyone,

Can anyone tell me if all lectures are recorded for students to access at home, or is only a select few?

Are they uploaded to the LMS website? How long after the lecture is given are they uploaded?

Thanks :)

All lectures now must be recorded unless the professor has any really critical reason to not do so.

I had a lecture at 10am this morning and the recording is still not up... I'm glad I went today, but if this is the wait time for lecture recordings things are going to be pretty tough this semester with my timetable all over the place. Fingers crossed it's just some early struggles.

So I missed my economics tutorial today. Can I attend any other one later in the week and still get my attendance counted?

Also. What's with the Accelerated math tutorials being placed one after another I have like a 5 min gap in between them and they are in different rooms...I don't get any choice to change this either; it's locked in by default.

AM and Linear Algebra tutes are like that - they're basically a 2 hour tute with 2 components. The first one you'll go through a problem sheet in a classroom and the second one you go to a computer lab to play around with MATLAB to try to "visualize" the concepts

Is it too extreme to go over the entire textbook for chemistry and biology, rather than just the pages that our lecturer recommends?
