Yeah from what I heard HSF is basically the "I want to get into med" major

Are there any statistics on the most popular majors by course at UoM? Curious to see what the most popular ones for Sci/Comm are -  I was in an accounting tute and during the icebreaker, the class was 10% non-comm, 10% accounting/finance majors, 80% actuarial majors
14: VCE
15-17: in a coma
18: BCom

I think Accounting is the most popular major in commerce.

''Lecture Crapture
Posted on: Monday, 14 March 2016 4:27:30 PM EST
Despite us lodging a request as soon as the venue change for Friday's breakout session was confirmed, and despite the lecture capture team calling the request "resolved", they still managed to record crickets chirping in the Physics theatre rather than our breakout session in the Sunderland.

I can only hope this will be resolved in time for this week's session, but if the speed at which they post recordings is any indication of how things operate over there, I wouldn't be surprised if this week's recording came up as an oration from 1878 on the four essential humours of the body, delayed in Echo space for 140 years......

If you missed last week's session, there were about 400 people in attendance, so it shouldn't be hard to find a buddy who was there and has the answers to the workbook questions.  As always, there was no new assessable material presented, just practicing what we already learned in lectures.''

I know right? I was not sure initially if it was an error, but knowing Charles...
Also physio recordings are up faster than anat recordings. Don't know what he's on about LMAO

Because it will save your ass when you're in med - dying now because of no proper knowledge in anat :(

I have this problem with 2nd year anatomy while my third year science subjects are all fine, ironically.
Anatomy is a subject that makes no sense to me and bores me to death so quickly. I really fail to understand how people got through it.

Yeah the way anatomy is taught specifically in at an undergrad level becomes more of how much things can you remember game. Its alright now in medicine when you actually integrate it with clinical applications but overall it can get dull quick do to its repetitive nature.

Are the pre- and post-prac tests timed?

3 weeks in and MCB has totally knocked me off my feet. All this rote-learning of amino acids, nucleic acids and every step of glycolysis is so  suffocating

nope the ILT is on LMS and you get 2 tries iirc...pre-prac is found under the practicals tab and you only get one try :) Need 8/10 min for the mark

Ahh some of my friends who did MCB last year told me about these struggles! MCB according to them was the hardest subject they did in their entire degrees (yea harder than third year!), so hang in there it does get better. Next sem with HSF will be much easier apparently, MCB is the killer!
