Suppose i decided to do a masters in maths and stats. What job opportunities would be available aside from research. Could I for example work in the banking finance sector, be an accountant etc..?

Whirlpool forums are good with this sort of stuff.

hey,
How difficult is it to get a h1 in arts subjects, because I'm planing to do one, and what worries me is that I haven't wrote an essay for two years?

Research and proofreading will you get a H1/HD. A ton...a TON of research and proofreading...a good argument too  ::)

what's a good first year Arts unit to do so that I can brush up on my essay writing skills? (haven't written one since the English exam)
I'd prefer if it's not extremely difficult but I don't really know much about Arts so any suggestions would be welcome  :P

Heh, I got an email at 4am that one of my lectures for OPTO30007 has changed time, but I can't access my timetable until 10am in order to figure out when it has moved to. It needed to move because there was a clash with NEUR30004 (university timetable fail #52742674: clashing lectures for two subjects taken as part of the neuroscience major <_<). I checked the university timetable website but no change is appearing. FML I'm going to have to log in at 10am and see where it's moved to and hope that my plan doesn't get instantly screwed up. +_+ Just as an FYI I know third year timetabling is Thursday 1pm but I'm doing a level 1 breadth this semester - hence the need to timetable twice.

EDIT: Well that wasn't painful at all. Mind you, I only had to select a single class. XD Meanwhile the lecture in question that changed didn't even appear on the timetable lol.

For subjects like intro micro, if you can't make it to a specific tute, can you go to another tute and still get marks for participation?

You need to get your "pink sheet" (in-class worksheet) signed by the other tutor and bring it back to your own tutor the next week so it would definitely seem super dodgy if you did that for every week :P

Dw man i slept in and 3 of my tutes were gone. I'm hoping i'll be able to switch when the rest of the spots open up
