Lol it wasn't intentional I'm just severely inebriated/injured from falling down a flight of stairs at Parliament, replying helps sooth the pain.

Hey guys,
I'm rather confused by the whole "Re-enrolment" thing by 13th December.
By re-enrolment does it mean enrolling in ALL your subjects for 2014?
Or is it just the declaring that you'll be continuing/deferring/withdrawing from your course in 2014?

Thanks!
BSc (2015), MD1 (2016)
Tutoring in 2016: http://www.tutorfinder.com.au/tutors/detail.php?TutorID=78301
Chuck a PM if interested :)

Available for tutoring on the summer holidays for university subjects or VCe.
Also tutoring for the Melbourne uni MMIs (medical/physiotherapy interviews)

Please don't PM me for lecture slides or recordings. I don't have them anymore.

SugarMinted, there's no need to have done VCE German, but you'll start at German 1 :) German 3 is the standard entry point for VCE leavers, though some go to German 5 (with a high enough score and/or exchange experience). German 1 has no oral presentations and German 2 has no listening assessments; from German 3 onward both types of assessment are present, and the orals involve a short "listening" response to the tutor.
Also, German 1 starts from the very beginning, but it does move pretty fast. Still, it's perfectly doable if you stay on top of things!

Are you German, Levi? A few years ago I spoke to my German father for the first time in literally 10 years and for some reason he expected me to understand German. I was just like...guten tag...99 luft balloons?

I have Austrian heritage but nobody in my family can speak German (or any languages other than English!). When I see my dad he gives me history books written in German and tells me to translate them for him and I can understand maybe 25% of the text. It goes something like "The...it...ambiguous preposition...her...people...death...the...he...it...she...they...Monday..."
P.S. can you pretty please with a bottom-buttered biscuit on top send me all the BIOL10004 notes you were going to give to other people ;w; I'm missing half the course but want to review it before next semester :')

Yes. But you can change it around up until the census dates, you just need to be enrolled in subjects for both semesters.

I did German for VCE...

sooo does that mean I won't start with German 1?

& thanks for the detailed info regarding the oral assessments and stuff - very helpful  :)

You'd start at either German 3 or German 5, though German 3 is more likely. German 5 would be if you had been on exchange as well and/or had a very high study score. They're implementing aptitude tests next year to place people appropriately, but my friends from German 5 who took it in VCE/QSCE/HSC etc. said they felt lost in class amongst the fluent native speakers (who weren't meant to be there) and former exchange students, so you might want to fudge the test a little for a more reasonable difficulty and a proper covering of all the topics German 3 and 4 teach that VCE completely ignores :)

Hey guys.. I got 45 in ESD 2 exam which was a hurdle so I failed it, even though I know most of the subject but just got a bit unlucky I guess. Has anyone ever done ESD 2 over the summer? Is it more difficult? Im banking on not having to worry too much about most lectures as I already know 75% of the content. Thanks!

Since you've already taken ESD2 and believe you only failed because you were 'unlucky' I can't see why taking it again over summer would be a problem even if it is 'harder'. The Sem2 2013 exam was the same as the past 3 exam papers (a little harder perhaps) so I don't see why the Summer exam should be any different.
