Hey friends, may be a stupid question, but does anyone know how to download lectures from the new lecture capture system?
You need to click the button with the triangle inside the circle

Last year I had to go from the law building to Chemistry, it took me precisely 10 minutes to get between those buildings walking at a fast pace. Given that Grattan Street is closed off for construction works, you won't have to wait at the traffic lights which is an improvement!
If I were you, I would leave the lecture at the ending time i.e. a 10am lecture, leave at 10:55 like usual, even if you miss some information you can always rewatch the recording. Of course, if the lecturer is giving you exam info or something I would stay a tad later and be late for my next class.
If you second class is the same subject as your first, the tutor/lecturer will appreciate that a lot of people will be running late. Additionally, tutors/lecturers rarely care if you come in late, as long as you sit down and get your things out quietly.
If your second class is say a small tute or seminar, you could let your tutor know that the reason why you might be late every week is because of your previous class and they should be fine with that

Otherwise you could buy a boosted board (google it) and get there in no time :P

is there a way to access lecture capture for subjects where they have not linked it in lms yet? Last year I found a way to do it but it doesn't work with the new system

Do you guys think doing Physics 1: Fundamentals is worth doing so I'm eligible for the accelerated pathway into the DVM? I'd have missed the whole first week, and I'm worried that if I do it I'll fail and have to repeat, or that It'll bring my WAM so far down that I won't even get into the accelerated program anyway.

General study advice: Do you guys take notes etc while doing prereadings? It takes sooo long for me to complete them when I try to do so.  :'(

Better question: do you do pre-readings?
Answer: no

Really depends on the subject, but do whatever you feel like is making a benefit for you. If you find notes are helping and are worth the effort, then go for it. Otherwise, why bother?

I lol'd, but its pretty true. I didn't do pre-readings and I don't think I have ever heard anyone ever mentioning pre-readings (including the lecturers, who will generally operate under the assumption that you didn't do them rather than you did, even if they explicitly ask for people to do them)

Haha well, in my case, we have weekly pre-lecture quizzes to do based off the pre-readings.

Would you guys recommend them in that case, or still say it's not worth it since it'll be taught again anyway? Do you just get through the tests by other means?

Are duplicate books absolute necessary for pracs, or are normal books just fine? I have a prac tomorrow and kind of don't want to use my break to go to Officeworks. :(

It's been way too long since I've done Chemistry 1 (six years, ugh) but from memory they pretty much insist on them so there's a copy in case the instructor's copy goes missing.

You should be able to buy them at the coop anyway.

Hey guys,

I just wanted to ask if anyone knows how long it takes for a health care card to come in the mail? My youth allowance claim completed and i have since received payments for january and feb. I was curious to see if i had actually applied for it as i pressed the "I would like to claim a health care card in the future" option.. Does this mean i havent applied for a health care card yet? Plz help as i srsly dont want to make another freaking call to centrelink

Hi all
Any suggestions for places to park around/near campus? I normally take public transport to get to uni but have to go straight from Uni to somewhere via car this week - and I am not sure if my options are really only the $$ parking garages? I need to be parked all day but I could maybe move it around lunch time...
Thanks :))
