it's fine, you just need to call the uni on friday (tomorrow is a public holiday)

explain to them that you didn't defer your SSAF payment and that you would like it deferred, and ask them how you go about defering the SSAF and establishing ur portal again so that you can still use everything from uni.

Problems with Chrome can be handled by putting this link in the search field after you've logged on to Uniwireless, I've found:

Also, I'm considering doing a Diploma in Global Issues. Has anyone done this before or considered it, or just have any further information/experience regarding this that they'd be willing to share? (:

For Calculus 2, do we need the differential equations supplement? If so, how can I buy one with out buying the textbook as well?

if i had the time i would quote every single person ITT and thank  them for all the help and all the insightful answers for questions i have.
thank you <3

Just another question though lol

what would be your advice to someone who has hardly done any readings/been really slack so far this year for exams?

Should you just start from the start and do the readings / take notes? or what? do i have time to study and get a pass for my subjects?

What is this supplement you speak of lol? I'm looking at the handbook and can't find anything, and I don't remember Mangelsdorf mentioning anything :-\

Your main priority is to get the highest mark in the subject possible. It's logical to start from scratch and go through everything chronologically, but that's probably not wise because you won't be able to satisfy another important part - your current assessment. To get a good mark in the subject you have to pass assessments as they come as best you can. And that should take priority over revision - you should give #1 priority to anything that counts towards GPA because that's what you get for the subject. In this case that's your current and up-coming assessments. Make plans to do well in those - maybe just cover certain relevant readings in extra depth to be able to blitz your next assessments.

When you have time to spare outside of that, then start going back and revising.

There is always enough time, it depends on how motivated you are throughout SWOTVAC and the end of the semester especially. SWOTVAC is your week of no-uni-full-time-study at home before exams. You can learn a course for a subject in that time if you want.

Thing is, we're coming up to the 2/3 mark this weekend. It's the end of week 7, and the start of week 8. We go up to week 12, have swotvac, and then exams start the next week. You have a month before swotvac, a week, and then possibly lengthy breaks before exams.

I would advise you prioritize - check out the timetables that are coming out for exams and see what's coming up first. Plan which subjects you're going to prioritize in order of need. And then do your current assessments, study the most for the earliest exam, and then figure out how you're going to study for all of your exams once you have your exam timetable.

Rofl, c'mon man, he's a first year.

Sadboy22: Wait til SWOTVAC comes around, get a large amount of red bull, caffeine and spam the prac exams 14 hours a day for the 10 days or so before your exam. You'll pass.

:) I think you can still do well!  I start studying for my final exams four weeks before the exam EXCEPT where there is a mid semester test in the interim period.  If you start studying soon you should be absolutely fine!  Hopefully you've been attending the lectures even if you haven't done the readings or studied outside class so you're somewhat familiar with the content.

thanks  for the replies guys.

On to another thing. im starting to get really depressed about having no friends at uni. I literally walk  into class/tutes and no one even acknowledges me. I always try and have positive/happy attitude and make conversation with the person next to me but no one ever seems to make the effort back. I have made a few friends but idno. And also no girls show any interest in me at all besides a few.  feelsbadman :(
