Sometimes they release a spread of how everyone went in the subject, but that hardly happens.

Your best bet is to email the coordinators and ask them and see what they say as far as I am aware

FYI: If anyone decides to do Evolution and the Human Condition, or Animal Behaviour - they mark the exams really harshly. H1 average down to a pass. Boo.

Oh no! Are you going to request to see your exam? That doesn't sound right :(

Hey guys,

I'm actually a bit concerned looking at the unimelb results thread because I've gotten two subjects back so far and my highest was 71... (Still need Physics 1 and Calculus 2 back which surely will be below 70)
And I'm doing first year subjects while most of you guys are doing bloody 2nd, 3rd+ year subjects and getting over 80-90+  ???

I know I didn't put a lot of effort into uni this semester but even if I did, I don't think I'd be getting these 90+ scores lol

And is it worth me paying money to look over my exam? (I got 68 in economics, hoping to bump it up to 70 lol)

I've only done one semester of university as well so I can't comment quite as much as everyone else but I just wanted to reassure you that everything will still be OK. There is a reason why first year results are weighted a lot less than other years - everyone (including the university) understands that after high school you need some time to adjust to a completely new set up, and sometimes just completely get some things out of your system. I don't want to assume anything but it sounds like while you took the pedal off a little bit academically you had a great overall experience at your first semester of university. Now you've got a better idea of what's required and hopefully you'll figure out a way to balance it all out. Good luck! :)

Dw about it bro your marks are fine. As long as your happy with your results it doesn't matter what other people got. And they're much better than my 0's ;)

Yeah! I've emailed the coordinators asking what happened with everyone's exams. Can't ask to review papers until results have been finalised. Grr. And I'm still waiting for my Exp Marine Biol results, and it's been 7 weeks since we handed in our final assessment. I sent them an email 2 weeks ago asking what's going on, and they haven't even marked it yet. Seriously. There are only 40 people in the class, with 4 supervisors marking 10 papers each.

GET YO ACT TOGETHER.

That's pathetic :/ I know they have research to do, but their job involves teaching, and they're paid to do it!

Yeah so... I got an 88 and a 90 this semester, then a 58 for the Human Condition subject. I don't even understand how harshly they marked the exams. It basically threw my chance for transfer out the window : (

Avoid the subject guys!

That's pathetic :/ I know they have research to do, but their job involves teaching, and they're paid to do it!

Being paid to teach doesn't mean they're going to drop everything to have results finalized by 3 weeks before the release date though. It's nice if they come out early but when I'm given things to do on top of my normal workload (ie marking junior student essays ugh) they certainly don't become a priority.
