Am I correct in understanding that class registration for quota subjects will NOT be tomorrow due to some 2nd round process?

Last year pretty much all lectures were back-to-back: for example we had Biomolecules and Cells at 8am, Chemistry for Biomedicine at 9am and Mathematics for Biomedicine/Experimental Design and Data Analysis at 10am, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday (and on Mondays and Wednesdays I had Italian classes straight afterwards!). By the time I got to midday I was gone lol.

I'm interested to keep an eye on the differences between your year and mine. So far, apart from timetable changes, it seems the structure for Chemistry for Biomedicine has changed (thank goodness) and the assessment for Biomolecules and Cells (and Genes and Environment) is different.

Looking at the handbook, it seems like we're getting a 3 hr practical every week now T.T

The student portal (or whatever they're calling it now,) will definitely be down. You'll have to access the LMS through the LMS page, not through the student portal (i.e. lms.unimelb.edu.au.)

Well, in the handbook for Chemistry for Biomedicine 2014, it also said 1 x three hour lab/workshop, yet it was still only 6 pracs during the 12 week semester.

So I think it's safe to say this year's Chem for Biomed is still only 6 pracs. Especially since the 6 pracs are chosen from the 12 pracs in the prac manual that all first year students use, and some of those pracs are simply not relevant to the Chem for Biomed course.

Seemed to have resolved it. For anyone also wondering: https://sws.unimelb.edu.au/2015/

What do I do if I can't find the time that was listed on the Timetable on the handbook? Is any other biomed person able to enrol in a Workshop for Biomolecules on Thursday at 9-12 as listed here? https://sws.unimelb.edu.au/2015/Reports/List.aspx?objects=BIOL10002&weeks=1-52&days=1-7&periods=1-56&template=module_by_group_list
