(I'd caution against doing Honours if it's just a 'plan B' for not getting into a postgraduate program.)

What would you recommend then?

GAMSATS ARE OUT KUNTS

63 = 75 percentile... looks like the cutoffs will go up next year

Next year meaning 2016 intake or 2017 intake? And what led you to that conclusion out of curiosity?

I'm pretty sure the 2017 intake cut-offs will increase dramatically given that Monash will no longer accept students from other universities to their post-grad MBBS program.

Okay, no problem but do remember that the UK GAMSAT has fewer people sitting it, so the percentiles are always a bit different.

Thanks MelonBar! Last year I had 68 melb weighting, this year 68 standard (but it will go down to 66 melb).

Did you sit the GAMSAT this time around MelonBar?

Yes, I got 67 unimelb weighted (66 standard). A bit higher than last year so I'm pretty happy.

Good work mate! My section scores were all over the shop this time (compared with last year's). It makes not one iota of sense how I could do so much better in section III when I have not touched any of that science stuff since first year and somehow manage to do worse in section I.

Congrats guys!

68 Melbourne weighted here. My standard score seems to be rising by 1 each time I sit but wanted it to be a larger improvement. Looks like I'll be applying with this score.

If my memory serves me, the 10 year GAMSAT retrosopective showed that most people don't really move up or down that much. But 68 is still a great score!

My science score always stays really constant, section I randomly goes up and down, and my essays were slightly worse than in GAMSAT UK. I don't know what I would've sone differently to improve though, so it was probably chance!

Fucks sake ACER though. They sent out results 10 mins before my MST and condemned me to jittery suspense for the entire test. Worst timing man.

congrats guys on the great scores :)
I got 70 this year, so very happy to have improved from 60 last year.
I was so nervous, but happy to get that score after studying for 4 months  :)

That gives anyone sitting it for a 2nd time some hope, even if you have to sit it in the year after your degree is finished!

Melbourne weights each section evenly, so just add up all of your sections and divide by 3.
