It's a hurdle requirement. I just hope the marking would be a little more lenient. Fingers crossed

pseudo-hurdle though, right? I was told that even if you fail the exam, if your overall mark is over 50% you will pass BUT the maximum grade you can receive is a 50%. So glad it's over though.

Did anyone sit the ARA exam too btw? I found that loooooooong as, I feel like I did a buttload of writing.

Yeah even if you fail the exam you can still pass the subject but max overall mark would be 50. Jon emailed us today about the chi squared table for the last question... I was hoping there wasn't a chi squared cause I didn't learn that soooo goodbye q5 lel

With accounting I felt like the financial part was easier than previous years but the management side was quite long and dull. That relevant cost analysis question was a bummer

Ah that's a bummer. I feel as if the time pressure is there even when writing semi-paragraph semi-dot points. Best of luck to your (4?) other exams.

M2M is finally over and god's sake I had the biggest wrist cramp of my life. Half my mind was screaming to keep writing and push through all the agonising pain :(
My hand is still in pain.... The poor girl 2 seats ahead of me had a raw and bleeding pinky finger from writing so much

Ohhh that makes sense. The girl next to me was questioning an invigilator for the formula sheets, I thought she got a dodgy booklet or something and was like pssssh one seat over and I could've been screwed. Didn't even notice there was a duplicate sheet  ???

M2M is far harder than MCB. Truly have no idea how I did.

Please don't say that… :(

Given my attempts at exam B today it's pretty safe for me to say that I'll be lucky if I get more than half the paper done in the allocated time. :/

It's true man... It's definitely harder. They put in heaps more distractors in the MCQs, and each lecture is pretty much jammed back full of detail (more than what you'd see in MCB)

I feel like with MCB and HSF the MC questions in the exams have always been a little easier than the ones on the MST's, but with M2M........ nope lol

Whatever you do, don't take 4 science in Semester 1 with m2m =/ And definitely not 4 science in completely distinct departments. Should have listened to some AN members on here when they said it would be hard af. xD

Which subjects did you take (other than M2M of course)?

I was about to do 4 level 3 science subjects, but likewise someone on AN said it could be too much so I opted for a slightly easier selective.

I think the way I have it planned out I'll always be doing a breadth or level 2 subject in each semester until my last one, but I'm rarely taking multiple subjects from the same department (woes of mathematical physics + diploma in informatics) so I have a pretty broad course plan in each semester. Why is this bad? to take (level 3) subjects from distinct departments at once?

For biomed: A common combination, and significantly helpful, is M2M, Principles of Immmunology & Pathology. 2 weeks of M2M is on B cells (so Principles of Immunology students have a huge advantage) and bits of Pathology pop up everywhere (for example, they had a lecture on DMD, which is Module 1 of M2M). I took Anatomy/Neuro/Microbiology with m2m so there's essentially 0% over-lap.

I can only speak for my subjects (anatomy, neuroscience), but the amount of content increases substantially from year 2 to year 3. With neuroscience and neurophysiology, at least there is some overlap. Think of it as revision. When I did 4 subjects from 4 different departments last year, the connection between what I was leaning in each subject was minimal at best but mostly non-existant.

How did you find the first ANAT exam?

Is it considered bad? Isn't it a normal thing to do? I was thinking about doing the same thing when I start my diploma. Might have to shuffle my subjects around if it causes problems.
