Ah that's a relief then.

I was worried, thought that maybe there was an error with my submission

Should I do anatomy and physiology in the same semester or should I split them up and do one of them along with biochemistry? Some of my 2nd year friends are telling me to split them up and some are telling me to do them together.. just not sure which would be best!

I think studying them together makes more sense. I'd actually be interested to hear why some would opt to do them separately though.

Just to balance this clearly biased view of hatred towards anatomy...

If you know how to drive, but you don't know where Melbourne Uni is and thus how to drive there, what on earth is the point of your ability to drive? In other words, physiology is only completed by anatomy. In an ideal world you should do both; the major is Human Structure AND function for a reason. Agreed that Anatomy is easier than Physiology, but definitely don't agree that it's not 'remotely interesting' :p

I don't dispute that anatomy's useful, but, to borrow your analogy, you don't need to go to uni to learn how to read a road map...

Banter aside though, doing anatomy and physiology together is a wise idea. They do feed into each other really well and you won't really get a full appreciation of either without the other.
That said, you won't really get a full appreciation of Biology altogether without Biochem/Molecular biol so... ;)

I'm doing anatomy and physiology next year only because I've decided I might want to keep med options open (fortunately I don't have to worry about gamsat or that wouldn't have been an option at all). However I already have four other subjects in sem 1 so I'll have to split them up. A friend of mine did physiology first so I guess I'll do that one first. I mean, I know I can comfortably do 5 subjects a semester but I'm not trying 6.

If you can't study them together, I think taking anatomy before physiology would make more sense (this is just my 2c). What you'll see in physiology is that a rather vague description of the anatomy is given, and the anatomy at times can help guide the physiology. On the other hand, I don't think doing physiology first will contribute as much to helping you understand the anatomy later on. It just seems in general that we tend to study the structure of things before we go on to learn their function. Despite all of this, I think you should get more opinions and I'd definitely be interested in hearing them as well. :)

You'll start to live in there as a Biomedicine student. People having 3 consecutive lectures in that theatre has not been unheard of.

Yeah in 2nd year I literally only hung around Sidney Myer for the whole time.

In 3rd year I've pretty much relocated to the Doherty and today was legit my first time taking the tram from Swanston St all semester.
