Is the second  edition of the Chemistry textbook by Blackman good enough to use for CHEM10003 instead of chemistry3?

"The heart was thought to be the seat of the mind." What does this mean?

Is this from NEUR30003 Principles of Neuroscience?

Oh, we got the same question in NEUR30003. I better not confuse you with my answer then (I thought I should check because you appeared to be a first year and I thought it was very odd that you'd enquire about something in a level 3 subject!).

Fish n chips shop in the Union building sells the best wraps around, grilled chicken, the usual salad, sweet chilli sauce and theres just a magical finish to it. Only $6.50 and it does fill you up.

$17 for bacon and eggs, I'll pass, lol

Seriously $17? Good portion size or what? haha

"The heart was thought to be the seat of the mind." What does this mean?

This just means that they believed that the our mental faculties (thinking, feeling, sensing, etc.) are located in the heart. That is, they believed that the heart causes (or is) the mind, in contrast to how we now believe that the brain causes (or is) the mind.

None of my lectures from Tuesday or Wednesday are available on the LMS yet. The coordinator for Biological Psychology says that it is a university-wide known issue. I'm really hoping they sort it out soon... Wondering if I should start going to lectures...!

How's it going with you guys? Are your lectures available?

Recording status of my subjects based on the lectures I've already had:
- BIOM30002: 2/3
- NEUR30003: 2/2
- NEUR30002: 1/2
- LING20011: 2/2

Not too bad. I attended the NEUR30002 lecture that didn't record but I need the BIOM30002 lecture. :/ I'm also home today (two lectures with a five hour gap in-between means it's not worth going in) and I have my fingers crossed the third NEUR30003 and NEUR30002 lectures will be recorded.

I have a tutorial class today for maths and there was a worksheet that was on the LMS. However, I forgot to print it out, do we need to have the tutorial worksheets with us at tutorials? Thank you

A bunch of us MIIM20001(ers?) are really starting to get worried that the second lecture hasn't been uploaded to the LMS yet and yes the rumour is true that we were hit hard. If anyone has last years recording can you please send it over.

Oh and Charles is a legend! Anyone else get a Ted Mosby vibe from him (with Ted's hippie day hair)?

Yes, it was a lot to take in! If anyone has the last years recordings can you send it over too pls and tyvm.
