Hi.

What does it take to get 100 on a subject? Can you lose a single mark anywhere?
Also do they always round down the grade, or is it >5 round up and <5 round down?

It depends; so some subjects you do quizzes and if you get above a certain amount, you automatically get a contributing mark to your overall mark. In this case, you can afford to lose some marks. Generally speaking though you cannot afford to lose any marks if you want 100. Then again, a H1 is a H1 if you get 80 or 100. :)
2013-2014: VCE
2015-2017: BSc. at University of Melbourne. Majoring in Microbiology & Immunology.
2018: Honours - Restoring immunocompetency in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia
2019-2022: Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Deakin University

Completed VCE Biology in 2013 with a study score of 47. Offering tutoring in VCE Biology for 2020 in Geelong region! PM me for more details.

Sounds good, thank you. And what about the rounding thing. I know grades are only integers, but what happens with the decimals?

is it a bad idea to enrol in bio of cells and organisms now? Just got approval from the subject coordinator and waiting for my enrolment variation to be processed

is 3 weeks behind too much to handle?

Only a handful of people ever - for some subjects it's pretty much impossible. It is crazy hard to even get above 90 sometimes

Should be fine given you have done biology at vce. There is great overlap especially in units 1 and 2. Been like 6 weeks behind for some subjects still worked out fine and quite easy to catch up given its 3 lectures a week.

If you did you would need to today be quick about it. The last day to do the first prac is today! Also, the first ILT is due today!

yeah I'm doing the prac today, thanks for letting me know!
where is it though??

I can't get on the LMS (waiting for uom to enrol me, but pretty certain they will since I have approval) so I can't do any online tests etc... Marks lost already lol

Do you need to do the ILT to pass or is it just for marks?

You need to pass your practicals to pass the subject, so that is the most important thing for you now. ILTs are not hurdle requirements, no need to pass them, however, they count as 5% towards your final grade in total. if you have done the pre-prac test and scored 80%+, then so far you have only lost a single mark, so don't worry.

All pracs are in Level 2 Biology Laboratory (Room 210) in the Redmond Barry building.

You have until 5pm today to complete the first ILT, not a hurdle but an easy 1% toward your final grade.
