All you got to do is rock up, but try and check how large the class is for your own convenience. For one of my tutes, people didn't check, so they ended up just bringing chairs in and sitting along the back wall.  .

For one of my subjects, the lecturer continuously speaks away from the recording microphone. Every time i listen to the lecture on-line, i can barely hear him speak. Very annoying. Do you it would be rude if i sent the lecturer an e-mail, politely suggesting that he speaks closer to the recording microphone?

I don't think it would be rude, as long as you are polite. He might not even realise he is doing it. Just explain that some students are hard of hearing and it would make things easier for them if he spoke closer to the microphone.

When I did Finance in Summer, the lecturer did the same thing for the first lecture but started carrying his mic under his neck from then on, and then there were no problems. It's likely that they do listen to feedback about this kinda stuff so I would email them.

Does Melb allow you to transfer from a course in science/biomed to a course outside in another Uni for medicine?

Not too sure what you mean here. Are you asking if you change to another university? If so, it's dependent on the entry conditions of the University you want to go to are.
