http://www.med.monash.edu.au/medical/central/ugrad-mbbs-brochure-2011-web.pdf

Monash has made a few slight changes, but here are the facts in a nutshell:

- Interview selection is 100% UMAT (unless you get 99.95).
- UMAT calculated as the sum of the three scores, unweighted. (last year it was overall score)
- ATAR:UMAT:Interview = 1:1:1 still
- ATAR > 90 still
- If you get 99.95, then you can get a late interview if your UMAT total is at least 150 (last year it was -10 off UMAT cutoff).

Wouldn't really call that a change. The overall score is calculated by dividing the sum of your three section scores by 3 (i.e. average of your section scores). Therefore, nothing's actually changed there :P

Yeah, the chances have remained slim, but nonetheless unchanged. I shall let you know in ~2 months time whether this is ok or not :P

It's based off what the Latin name for it was. Not too sure how their grammar works but somehow it turns out like that.

just a little curious:
"a minimum score of 150 will be needed to be considered.."
how exactly is this score calculated?
i still dont understand what it means when someone gets say,
64 for section 1, 85 for section 2, 70 for section 3, for example and like a 98%ile
