EDIT: The thing to remember is, each year it may gradually get higher as more students become eligible to apply.

The thing to remember is that this is a heavily, heavily biased spreadsheet and is in no way indicative of the cutoffs for the MD. A 65 and 6.7 is not going to be the minimum admitted, although it will go up a fair bit from last year. Don't get disheartened if your marks are below these, because as I said, they suffer from a huge bias

Oh I agree. There's CSP places in that spreadsheet for 60 GAMSAT and 6.60 GPA. There's also a 6.5 and 63. Even if you look at pagingdr's GAMSAT results page, it's heavily skewed towards higher scores (65+), even though the actual spread is much more towards 50.

Pagingdr cohort is strong besides they only comprise 15% of the offers and Im guessing not many people report their failures, still its a good indicator

Failures aren't too important in terms of offers though, unless they were told how much they missed out by (which they aren't from what I know).

No I wouldnt presume they would be told, it could help us establish a cut-off point though

USyd is doing that now (from this year onwards). I got an email with my interview marks today and they've committed to publishing the interview data (or some of it) to make the process more transparent.

No idea until they publish some sort of statistical data because nobody knows what their raw score means right now

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but say that you have unimelb as your top preference and they offer you a FFP, can you reject it to go for your second preference?

Not with the current system.

Damn. That really sux. Can you apply for USyd as a second option? Or do they use the same preference system?

Sorry someone refresh my memory, you get 6 preferences and only one interview that is offered according to your preferences?

Yeah, that's what I was told, and that you get a standardised score for your interview that will be passed on to your next preference if you are not accepted by your higher one.

Would be good if Melb changed their system so that CSP and FFP were separate preferences, instead of screwing people around..

They still might, I wonder how they would standardise interviews, especially when Melb has MMI, some* others dont
