Ordering Preferences

Hey guys

Having trouble with my ordering preferences. I really have no idea what ATAR I will get at the end of the year so it's hard to put courses that I want as some of them are in the high 90s and I really doubt I will get that score..
So my question is whether I should do my preferences in ATAR order (still undecided what I want to do as well..) or what I actually like more.
Like for example, Im really undecided on doing something like Law/Med but if I had the opportunity I probably would accept it because of the job availability
On the other hand, i really like the sound of engineering

So would I put it in ATAR order
1) Med
2) Law
3) Eng

or what I like (at the moment)
1) Eng
2) Law
3) Med

Does this make sense? :/
I guess my main question is how the selection process works...would i miss out on Eng if i didnt get the required ATAR for the higher ones on my list?

Do it in the order that you like. If you get the ATAR/UMAT for med and get in then they aren't going to offer you a place in engineering. Same for if you get the ATAR for law. If you want to do engineering, put that first.

EDIT: No, if you don't get the ATAR for med or law but do get it for eng then they will offer you the eng even if it is number 3.

This.  Do it in what you want more.  Because VTAC doesn't care about ATAR ordering.  In fact, you could list a preference with an ATAR of 66.** and your last preference could have a Clearly-In of 98.** and even if you get 99.95, you will still get your first preference of 66.** regardless.

So list them in order of preference as the name suggests, not ATAR order.
