This is all going to depend on the person but for me, nope.

I make my own notes and that too, in black and white. No colour used :P

I definitely find it helpful for emphasising on key words within, say, a definition; or even for bringing to attention just the main ideas in a paragraph of information so it 'stands out' and I can remember it. Highlighting ftw! ;D

I find highlighting useful for finding it again, but not for remembering it.

ie; highlighting a sentence in my readings help me find it quickly if I need to quote it, but it won't help me remember/memorise content.

If typing I find it more useful to use bold or italics as colour could just mean grey compared to black. My having words bolded I can pick up the key information.

Otherwise yeah, highlighters, always got the post it note ones :D

Doesn't work for me. I think it works better if you're female.

Haha probably. I can't read a textbook unless I highlight what I'm reading.

I find highlighting really distracting. I only do it if i'm brain dead so i can at least pick up where i left off when i try again the next day.
But generally, if i ever write in my textbooks, it'll just be a little note about it in grey lead.

Nope, I only do it when I can't be bothered working but don't want to get in trouble in class for wasting time :)

Girls spend the entire class highlighting their textbooks, it's really weird and not to mention useless.
