Is getting a biology tutor beneficial and give you an edge over others or hard work and practice just enough? At the moment i don't really see the benefits of getting a biology teacher. Please help me out

What are your grades? Do you have difficulty understanding concepts you're taught?

Well atm i'm only doing 1&2, but i am struggling, as i am spending my time concentrating on other subjects. Next year i am basically getting tutored for all my subjects besides Biology, so i haven't made a defiant decision to get tutored for bio or not.

Okay, if you're not spending much time on biology, when you do spend time do you understand the material you do get a chance to cover? Or do you look at the page and have no idea what's going on?

If the former, you don't need a tutor, you just need a more organised work schedule. If the latter, a tutor would be beneficial but only if you're committed to the subject

As a tutor (and no I don't tutor anymore, DON'T WORRY ABOUT LINING UP FOR MY AWESOME ADVICE GUISE) I encountered some students who really didn't understand the concept of tutoring.  Just spending an hour with a tutor a week isn't really going to get you anywhere if you're not committed and doing the work the tutor asks you to do or doing the preparation for the session.  The number of times I set students a simple task and it wasn't done, I wanted slam my head against the desk.

A tutor will help you if you're willing to concentrate on the subject, as Russ implies.  Just thought I would add that in.  If you don't feel you'll have time for Biology, then there's no point paying for someone to speak to you an extra hour a week because it doesn't really help unless you either a. have questions you need specifically answered and /prepare to ask them/ or b. are willing to do what is assigned to you so that you and your tutor have something to discuss.

If you are not very good at biology you should go for a tutor probably.
But you will still have to concentrate on the subject and not just merely spending time with your tutor.
or you can go for a tutor online for free this will help you get help in your leisure time without any problems.

You can find one at <snip>

To be honest biology doesn't isn't all that hard 95% of the time and you don't really need tuition to gain an edge over everyone else.  Most of the time asking your teacher/on here would be sufficient for a subject like biology.

Since you're only in Units1+2 don't worry to much, Units 3+4 seem much different to what's covered in 1+2.
You could always discuss with your Bio teacher about moving ahead with it.
