Triangular forces question

So I was wondering how they got from the first diagram to the triangle one.

Forces are vectors, the second diagram is just the force vectors added together.

Yeh it's just shifting the arrows arrow (while keeping the same orientation, i.e. point the same way) so that the ends met and 2 lines add (as vectors) to give the other vector.

Oh. Right. So why is it 60 degrees? And how did the 180-theta come about? Sorry, I know they're really dumb questions.

When you moved then arrow, you are aligning the arrow to the opposite side of the other arrow, so the anglee between the two won't be the same. It's hard to exlpain, imaging moving the lines while keeping them pointing in the same direction. The 180-theta comes about about because of this. I hope this makes sense.
