100th percentile
83,70,74 - 76 overall

I must say, beating you in section 3 would probably be the highlight of my year.

Does anyone know what the top score on the UMAT was? I've heard of an 83 raw (100th percentile), but I'm really curious...

Not sure, last year it was 93rd percentile. For UMAT stream apparently (according to Monash Admissions) the cutoff for UMAT total is in the vicinity of 200 this year (so I'd say about 190 to 200).

Does anyone know how many interviews Monash are doing for the UMAT stream? I'm really really hoping a total of 196 will make the cut ):

does anyone know if they offer interviews just straioght to the top 400 or whether they take into account your preferences, i.e if you have registered with VTAC and put it as no.1

They definitely take VTAC preferences into account. They're not about to go giving interviews to random people in New Zealand because they got  a good umat score.

*Shattered* I was so happy because I thought I'd be in for a December interview ):
by the way, are equal amounts of 100th percentile and 90th percentile awarded? Or do they use a bell curve?

And yet another question to further JDogs stats, are we of any benefit actually getting an early interview and being in the UMAT stream? Or are we ranked against those from the atar UMAT stream - and hence, are there X number of positions available for each stream?
2010: Business Management [47]
2011: English [44]   |   Chemistry [45]  |   Methods [44]   |   Specialist [42]   |   MUEP Chemistry [5.0]   |   ATAR: 99.60
UMAT: 69 | 56 | 82 | = [69 / 98th Percentile]
2012: MBBS I @ Monash

I asked about this too, they said they decide after every interview has been conducted, and rank them overall, so there are no allocated spots. That makes sense becuase a person with 95 % shouldn't ahve a better chance than a person with 94% if we assume 95% is the cutoff.

I have to nail enter and umat,

Id be fairly confident if i was you, i think the cutoff will be 94 or 95 this year, it would be ludicrous to have it any higher

Did you ask them about any predictions regarding the cutoffs for ATAR/UMAT interviews? If the cutoff is say ~195 (for pure UMAT interviews) do you reckon 190 and 99.5ish would have a chance?

We said this about graduate entry and were wrong. Not to scare anyone or say you won't get in, but my point is that you should just do your best and let other people worry about the cutoffs you can't control
