What is everyone's study plan for the holidays?
I was thinking of aiming for each day
- physics exam
- chem exam
- methods exam 1
- spesh exam 2
- 2 english essays

With the maths exams alternating between exam 1 and 2 and rotating through english essays. Obviously I won't be able to do all of that every single day though. What about everyone else?

I think that's ridiculous, I mean seriously , physics exam +chem exam 3 hours total
meth 1 (one hour)
spesh 2 (one hour 1/2)
2 english essays (2 hours)
7 and 1/2 hours.. minimum ... Ouch, May God be with you... Gl sis.
Haven't decided...

A certain Luffy beasted 16 physics exams on a weekend..

Im probs only gonna do about 4-5 exams a day in the holidays..

Beats Tarun's record I guess, hahaha, but wow are you serious, that's 8 exams per day! :P

btw, just because everyone's talking about it, WHAT IS BURN OUT?! LIKE TO ME IT'S A CAR RACING GAME! D:
obviously you guys understand it as meaning something different please do elaborate

----

anyways, my study plans? hmm, well I intend to do as much as I feel is required, I'm not the type of person that plans ahead, I don't even have a Student Planner (decided I can just mentally keep track of things) - yeah I don't know when my SACs are, I just kinda find out as they come kinda thing :D - so with exams it's the same, I'll set out a cycle, for example Specialist Maths, Methods, Physics, Chem, English and just loop through that, doing 2 spesh papers (ex 1 and ex 2) and then 2 methods and then a physics and then a chemistry...etc (: whenever i feel like it or I have time

so some days I might get done 5 or 6 some days I might get done 1 or 2...that kinda thing :)

You should probably calm down...... :P

I finally understand why I'm kind of struggling with studying right now but not stressed at all.

I'm burnt out :(

It's the opposite of "Paradise". I guess simply put it's when you get stressed out for too long and you just get that demotivated. It can really "take you down" and out for a bit. You wouldn't want to get "dominated". The link I linked to before would explain it better than I can - obviously there's a bit more "criterion" involved.

Quote
Burnout, on the other hand, is about not enough. Being burned out means feeling empty, devoid of motivation, and beyond caring. People experiencing burnout often don’t see any hope of positive change in their situations. If excessive stress is like drowning in responsibilities, burnout is being all dried up. One other difference between stress and burnout: While you’re usually aware of being under a lot of stress, you don’t always notice burnout when it happens.

Luckily I've never burnt myself out (came close to it in Term 1 :/), but I guess we are all at risk of it.

Hah yeah it's probably a bit excessive. But I'm not going to be doing this every day at all. I'm also going to take 2 days completely off :D woop!

how is everyone who is planning to do 3+ exams a day plan to review these and go over them? Wouldn't you be better to do 1-2 per day and spend the extra time reviewing your answers, making them more succinct and detailed etc?

My aim is to do about 5 english, 5 econoimcs, 5 international studies, 2 further maths and 2 literature exams over the holidays, but make sure that I review each one, notice where I went wrong and how I can improve my answers and answering technique and areas I need to study more for, rather than cramming in 4 exams per day and not having time to really look at what can be fundamentally improved in terms of knowledge and structure of my essays and answers.

lol, study plans always fail for me. I'll just have an overestimated and unacheiveable list of what I want done by the end of it, and then fall short knowing I have done a bit of work. A definite thing 'to do' is to pretty much start the physics course though.

ah yeah, good point. I suppose with maths/science the focus would be more on doing practice questions... (Just looked at everyone's sigs and realised I'm the only humanities student posting in this thread on this forum :P)

One biol or chem exam

happened to me on the january hols when i finished the accounting course in 10 days
i was physically exhausted and ate ice cream and watched movies the whole day
i think that's what a 'burn out' is, aside from being a very sick car racing game
