Test Response: Underline or Quote the title?

Hey guys,

This is just a really quick question. Are you suppose to underline or 'quote' the title of your text in a Text Response? In the past, I've always quoted it but then this year my teacher told me to underline it instead. Then recently I was told by another English teacher to quote it... argh.. haha yeah, so, which one is it?

So for example [I'm doing Cosi], is it:

In Cosi..........

OR

In 'Cosi' ...........

THANKS! :D

I've just written
In Cosi..........  :o
If you are meant to quote/underline it, is it everytime, or just at the start?

So you underline...
But that's only at the beginning right? You don't underline it every time you mention the title afterwards yeah??
haha funny how I worry about little things like this :P

We were told to underline it every single time you mention it. Do no quote it. Just underline it every time. Hey why not? May as well be safe ;)

Titles of plays, films, novels, collections and anthologies underline all the way through when handwritten and italicise when typed as evangelion says...

Titles of individual poems and short stories use inverted commas all the way through.
I think, I speak, I act. Therefore... I create my own reality.

When handwriting, underline Cosi. But when referring to the opera, put "Cosi Fan Tutte" in quotation marks. That way, the examiner knows that you understand the difference between these names. You need to be consistent and do this for every time you refer to these titles in your essay.

For the author, you would just write their name like you would do for a language analysis essay. For Louis Nowra, you can just call him Nowra when it becomes repetitive.

I underlined all my quotes for my Context SAC.

Turned out, I used too many quotes, so my teacher pointed out that my flaw had been conveniently underlined for her.

Lost 9 marks. Absolute tragedy. Lesson learned.

Didn't lose any more marks for unit 3. 91/100.
