Are methods lectures useful to weaker students?

I'm pretty bad at this subject, but hey i needed it for a pre-req. To give you an idea my scores throughout the year were: 38.42.48.52.65.77% The improvement i fear is abit to late and I'm still ranked towards the bottom of my chort (47/64) I struggle mostly in graphs. I enjoyed Probability and calculus.

Would attending some lectures over the holidays help me do better or am i better of doing practice exams? I just want to get a 25, but with my sac scores am i dun goofed?

I'll refrain from talking about lectures as such given my bias, but just in terms of the last bit of your post "I just want to get a 25, but with my sac scores am i dun goofed?" You are most defintiely not "dun goofed", It is wholly possible for someone in your position to get 30, if not higher i would say, IF AND ONLY IF: you work hard, make sure you know the essentials of the course, and do a good few practice exams. If you need it bad enough and are prepared to put in the effort there is nothing stopping you meeting that pre-req so don't give up all hope just yet! Good luck with it all :)

I am in basically exactly the same position!! I really hope that lectures help because I have booked three :)

From what I have heard though, just doing the VCAA exams from 2006-2010 (10 practice papers) and understanding your mistakes should be enough to get 25. After all, you only need around 50% on the exams to get above 25 (even with a poor ranking). That said, I am still anxious whenever I think about Methods and very worried about not quite getting the 25...
2010: Business Management [46]
2011: English [40] | Accounting [47] | Legal Studies [46]  |  Methods [31] |  UMEP Accounting [5.5]
ATAR [98.40]
2012: Commerce at UoM (Economics and Accounting)

True, Methods is probably the only subject that I'm genuinely worrying about, but hey... 50% is pretty damn achievable.
I'm hoping that the Connect lecture I plan on going to helps :|!

In my own personal opinion, lectures might help you because they offer good revision and another way of seeing things, but I also think that if you work hard, and you're prepared to go beyond what a lot of others do (i.e. going to a lecture for example) - you should get 30+
