How do you guys remember pages of notes????

I just re write each sentence over and over again and it seems to work, does anyone else do that?

If not, What strategies do you guys use???

I just read my notes in the train, or better, apply them by doing questions.

Spend about ~40 seconds looking/reading the page, highlight key points. Put the info into a stupid rhyme/song, sing it, remembered.

You don't have to remember them word for word, that would be annoying. As long as you know and understand all the concepts, you don't have to literally memorise pages of information.

For a perfectionist, memorising is easy.

I heavily rely on Mnemonics though.

You need to learn the content, not memorise it. Things that are memorised disappear over time and have little to no use overall, you need to understand and comprehend your notes. In order to do so, the best method for me is to read them as often as possible and most importantly apply them to exam style question, hence the value of practice exams for someone wishing to achieve a high ATAR.

I do lots of memorising for VCE - dates, quotes and pieces of art. Generally I pace and repeat a quote/set of dates to myself. Again and again. It works really well for me. (Memorised about 80 quotes for Revs last year, and well over 100 dates).

find someone/thing to say whatever you need to memorise to. I myself struggle with lots of memory work, so if I feel like I'm teaching it to someone I stop viewing it as 'memorising' (which I seem to have a conscious mental block to) and it just sneakily works its way into longterm memory

That's why I hate subjects that require data, like they're subjects where if you're allowed to bring in a book everything would be so easy!
I prefer subjects where even if you're allowed to bring in your whole school library you'll still struggle, I prefer to have skills tested as opposed to my raw memory
