They can't stop you from sitting your exams, you could always sit them at the Exhibition Centre anyhow

Of course they can stop you from sitting exams, your school has the choice to terminate your contract with VCAA and effectively end your year/VCE.

This is what I've heard too.

P.S. Ghost, I love the quote in your sig :)

Thanks :) Yeah I love Hunter, probably one of my driving sources of motivation to become a journalist. In particular that quote is astonishing, pretty much summarizes how I feel everyone should live their lives.
2011 - English, English Language, Philosophy, Indonesian SL, Outdoor and Environmental Studies.

“We are all alone, born alone, die alone, we shall all someday look back on our lives and see that, in spite of our company, we were alone the whole way. I do not say lonely -- at least, not all the time -- but essentially, and finally, alone. This is what makes your self-respect so important, and I don't see how you can respect yourself if you must look in the hearts and minds of others for your happiness.”

No, as long as you've met satisfactory attendance and SAC requirements, you're permitted to sit exams at the Exhibition Centre

Even if your school bars you from sitting exams at there school, you have the option of Exhibition Centre or another school, they don't have the power to bar you from sitting an exam, nor do they have the power to stop you from sitting a SAC, even though it is at their discretion whether you get an S or an N, I'm sure of that :)
