Say i use pen for an exam...

What I've heard is say you were doing a maths question and you had two answer because you did it a second time as you thought your first answer was wrong, and found out your first answer was wrong, so you highlighted the second answer. As some (or all?) exams are scanned now, the highlighting apparently wouldn't show up and so it would be seen that you have two answer and so you are wrong. So be careful

Isn't it only science exams that are scanned, thats why they have that thick bordered area around the outside while maths are not scanned.

And hmm, yeah, that's true, I always write in pen as well, like all my SACs have been done in pen, but I'm really thinking of doing the exam in pencil

It'd probably be better to do it in pencil, write over it in pen and then erase (just in case you run out of time unexpectedly).

But usually methods exams are quite short, especially exam 1, so essentially, yes you will have time to go over it again, very, very thoroughly

But if anyone does attempt to do that, I suggest incremental rubbing out, rub out one part, do that part in pen, rub out the next part, do the next part in pen...etc.
I guess your idea would work, but rubbing out over the pen will smudge it

That reminds me of how I forgot a pencil during my chem mid year exam, and I'm the type that does Multiple Choice last, so about 30 mins remaining, I asked the supervisor for a pencil, everyone was looking at me D:

LOL! not quite, if I were confident, I'd just use pen without even having to think about it. The reason I'm even considering using pencil (I hate writing in pencil) is due to my LACK of confidence

is it just me, or is it the general consensus that people who do english language worry more about it than people who do english worry about english? :S
