different scores for every year on vce score calculator?

When you put in your estimated study scores to get an approximate ATAR score,  the years all have different figures right.. so its kinda like high mark one year, low mark the next, high mark, low mark..etc.

so year 2010 was lower than 2009..can we assume 2011 will be higher than 2010's predicted scores?? or it has nothing to do with it?

has nothing to do with it :P it depends on how the students in that year perform.

It depends on how the students perform in that year.

In some years, the exam could have been a lot harder, so it gets scaled up more (and hence a study score will scale up more than it did the previous year).
Estimate your ATAR (ENTER)! VCE ATAR Calculator

2005: Cisco CCNA Units 1+2
2006: Info Systems [39 → 36.93]
2007: Specialist [33 → 43.13], Methods [39 → 44.48], Physics [34 → 37.38], English [23 → 19.91], Chem [26]
ENTER: 84.95

2008-2011: Professional Software Development, Swinburne Uni.

As the others have said it's how well the students do each year.
i.e. The students perform really well then the aggregates for each atar will be pushed up higher.
The students perform not as good then the aggregates for each atar will be lower. e.g. for a 99.95 I think in 2007 (not sure though) you needed over 210 to get it while in other years you didn't need as higher. This is because generally everyone at the top end got a higher total aggregate.

EDIT: Hey Atarcalc Dan is back.

Does that mean the current year 12 students don't know how the scaling will be ?

We don't know because what determines the scaling hasn't happened yet (i.e. the whole states results from the exams). Although scaling doesn't really change much from year to year as the higher performing students tend to take the same subjects year to year (although there are exceptions e.t.c) and so we can "predict" around about what the scaling will be from previous years. Although this year VCAa (or was it VTAC?) predicted spesh will scale by 3 more from the mean of 30 (i.e. 30->41 instead of 30->38) as they forgot to account for yr11 students who end up doing three maths. Otherwise they have predicted nothing will change much.
