Im confused about stem cells , dont get it at all, whats the point in learning it , and confused on what are homeitic genes are and what they do.

What do we need to know about stem cells and homeotic genes that is relevant for the exam.

I think with stem cells you just need to know that they are undifferentiated cells and can be totipotent, pluripotent and multipotent.

know that homeotic genes are responsible for embryonic development in insects and vertebrates, they are regulatory genes which control the action of other regulatory genes
such as DNA binding genes which control whether a gene is switched on or off.

Stem cells basically just know your general stuff like their different potencies ie. pluri, toti, multi
Know about their application in Therapeutic Cloning.
Ans how they are useful in treating conditions like alzeimers, etc basically those in which cells don't easily regenerate.

hope it was helpful :D
