Is it possible to get Carpal Tunnel Syndrome via writing too much? :P
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a common cause for carpal tunnel actually.
Ah, you are right, writing seems to be a major factor, alongside playing musical instruments, sewing, painting, sports with racquets, tools that vibrate and using computers.
I know many pro-gamers get CTS and need surgery or wrist braces

EDIT: Chemkid

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is an entrapment idiopathic median neuropathy, causing paresthesia, pain, and other symptoms in the distribution of the median nerve due to its compression at the wrist in the carpal tunnel.

b^3 - I actually tried to learn to become ambidextrous last year, but my english teacher refused to mark my essays because they were 6 words a line, overly loopy and about half the letters were indistinguishable.

CTS just from studying for year 12 exams would be quite rare, it's a chronic condition for a reason
