Is there an easy way to find out which regression line fits which residual plot?

Generally residual plots without any clear pattern represent linear lines. To find which plot is suitable, you can do it through your calculator you can do the manual way or Residual = Actual - Predicted.

so i gotta do that for like 12 separate data one by one to get an answer...that's gonna take ages in the exam bruh

yeah but in the exam, A B and C will probs be eliminated by the first one you do bruh

You can set up a residual plot through the statistics program on the calculator.

 Enter all of your data (ensuring that list 1 is your independent variable, etc.) and then as usual go calc -> linear reg ->. In the pop up menu, where it says residuals, make them appear in list 3. Click Ok and let that generate. Then go to the area where you set your graph, and this time make your Y variable list 3 and leave list 1 as it is (X). Make the graph a scatter plot and then generate it.

The calc will produce a residual plot and you can simply match it. Note this is using the Classpad 330.
