Which of the following is the best evidence that evolution has occurred in recent times?
A) The average life expectancy in western society has increased over the last 100 years
B) The average male height in Australia has gone from 1.72m to 1.78m
C) The incidence of many inherited diseases has increased over the last 50 years
D) The birth-rate in Australia has decreased in the last 20 years

I answered B, but the suggested answer was C
Could anyone please explain why it's C and not B?

yeah we had that question too, i got it wrong as well..

It's a pretty dodgy question, it's implying that the average male height has increased due to better food, and is not really evolution (genotype change)

C is the best t answer cos it refers to genotype

But when looking at evolution, aren't the physical characteristics the ones that are paid more attention?
