low A+ would be 38-40 IMO. To get above 40 I'd say at least 37/40 on exam 1 and 53/60 on exam 2.

At the top end, it's one mark lost = one study score lost.

you needed a low A+ for exam 1 last year and a high A for exam 2 for a 40 with low A+ sacs, it depends on your cohort and ranking and also depending on this year's performance

a rough guestimation of a study score with an 80% average and a 60% on the exams? Still a chance for a 30 or nah?

refer to http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/vce/statistics/2010/section3/vce_further_maths_ga10.pdf  , 80% for exam 1 would be a low A, while 60% is  a high C+ , so im guessing 31-33? depending on your sacs and cohort, A+ sacs may push it up a bit

OK, thanks very much.
Here's hoping for 60 % minimum (30-33 would be a handy 10 percenter)

that will moderate your sacs so low 40s? 40-43
A+ SAC average and A+/A for exams? Too low to aim for 45+?
for a 45 you can only drop 5 marks in total unless you ace exam 1 and drop 6 in exam 2:s

sacs get moderated by your exam score, if you did shit in your sacs then a 40+ may not be possible, however B+ sacs maybe a 40, further  is really competitive i know many students who got crazy spesh scores with low 40s for further

i've done really bad on the sacs       (sac 1 - 21/60... )
there rest were all above 60%
i would be averaging around 60-70% all up and did quite well on the exam most likely 85% +
i am hoping for a 25 - 30.. is that possible? and what will i need to get in exam 2
and yes I AM TERRIBLE AT MATHS, 5th subject!
