P-Plate Drivers

I recently got my Ps and have been contacted by an organisation called My Live Tribe, but I can't seem to find any information about them outside their own site.

Has anyone else been contacted by them asking them to attend sessions and such? I guess I'm slightly wary and hopefully some of you VNers are more clued in than I am. :D

Nope. What is it, some sort of road safety organisation?

Can't say I/any of my friends have heard of it...

Yeah. It's about road safety and holds group sessions on safety and such.

Have you gotten your P's luken? They called me a few days ago and now want me to sign up to their sessions.

Yeah I've had mine since April...but we've got at least 50 P-Platers at our school and I've never heard anyone get it?

I received a letter from them the other day, mind you I haven't even got my P's yet. It's a project created by TAC to get new P-platers to interact/learn from each other and help make our roads safer. So basically, it's one of those initiative thingys to learn from one another and be safe.

I haven't registered yet because I'm not going for my licence til after exams, but it says that you can do online surveys and stuff to get vouchers and go into the draw to win a yaris.

Sounds like an alright idea if you ask me, even if it is only a Yaris that you can win :P plus there could be loads of tips from other drivers that you could learn.

Oh.. that sounds like a GREAT idea. :P

TBH, the way to get better at driving is to simply drive more. Aim to clock 20000km in your first year, driving will become second nature.

Yeah I got a letter from them a while back.

I don't swallow any of this road safety bullshit so I thought nothing of it.

Oh damn. Seems as if I'm the only one they've personally contacted.
Maybe they're trying to prevent bad female Asian drivers as well as hoons. ;)

Haha maybe you received a letter a while ago but just ignored it? Cos in the letter it says they'll contact once you get your P's if you don't "pre-register" beforehand.

PLEASE DONT KILL ME COZ I KNOW THIS THREAD IS LIKE MORE THAN A YEAR OLD BUT I NEEEED TO SAY THIS

I DID THIS AND SURE IT TAKES UP LIKE 10-15 HOURS ALTOGETHER, AND I STARTED THE COURSE ABOUT A YEAR AGO

BUT BUT BUT

I GOT A MOTHERFUCKING $250.00 CALTEX FUEL CARD IN THE MAIL YESTERDAY FROM THEM FOR HAVING COMPLETED THE COURSE!!!

And throughout the course for every session you attend you get smaller EFTPOS cards for like $5- $20 and vouchers for bowling and stuff (SHIIITTT MY BOWLING VOUCHER HAS PROBABLY EXPIRED :(  ) So in total I would have recieved $300-ish worth of goodies

Would defs recommend it to any new P-Platers considering doing the course. In terms of content I will openly admit it did me no good and I am still a fucking psycho of a driver, but it did open my eyes and I did try to implement all that they taught, but sometimes its a it unrealistic

thread necrophilia i know BUT ITS JUSTIFIED! (I THINK)

and I guess I cant guarantee that by the time you guys would finish the course you would get such a large voucher.... [insert disclaimer]
