I reckon in this year and future years they'll probably create a large corporation without knowing :D
In 2010 they already started with a small business......

if you are wrong, is this like a foreshadowing that everyone who left out p = 0 is wrong?

Just to that, I can't really be wrong here, if he's not on it, then I was right in that there still was a chance that he could be on there. But if I said he wasn't, and he is then I'm wrong. It's probability after all.

Maybe that's why VCAA switched to the less exciting adventures of Victoria Jones. Exams are stressful enough already!
If he actually died/failed I would think my answer was wrong and probably have a nervous breakdown. :P

Let the probability that any relatives of Tasmania Jones appearing on the methods exam 2 = (p) , where (0<= p <=1)
and so the probability that they wont appear is (1-p) hence the probability of them appearing on the ith year is dependent on them appearing on the year before, such that probability of them appearing given they appeared = (1.2-p) and the probability of them and the probability of them not appearing given they did not appear the year before is (0.1+p). work out the steady state probability of them appearing in the long term in terms of p.

When in doubt with a Jones question, say "they died" and draw a gravestone with people crying.

If a couple of other students 'break down' in the exam and I get that he lives, I'll be paranoid and I'll redo the question over and over and over.

Lol
One of these days, there will be a book about these escapades
Maybe even a whole math textbook devoted to the lives of these characters, so the future generations know of the legacies of the Jones!

Maybe VCAA are planning a finale this year...the ending...we shall find out!

I still don't get it, why did the Zambeji tribe stick the statue thingy, which was originally theirs, over a cone that was gradually filling with acid to allow Tasmania to get to it? If it was theirs they should've kept it and guarded it better. If they thought it was tainted, just fucking destroy it and don't give him a chance. Although the jungle adventure in 2008 was definetly my favourite Tasmania Jones question.
