Did anyone get 0.4103 for part 2e? I'm not sure about that one.
YESSSSSSSSS I was quite uncertain about that one :D
Lol i got that. What method did people use to solve it? Mine was weird.

I did

Pr(X>3) / [ Pr(X>3) + Pr(Y>3) ]

+1. I did the same thing and got 26/49 which was 0.5306 to 4 dp. Anyone else?

Pr(Chocolate A|Dark Chocolate)=Pr(Dark Chocolate A)/Pr(Dark Chocolate)=Pr(X>3)/(Pr(X>3)+Pr(Y>3))=0.5/(0.5+23/32)=0.4103

Oh god. I did 23/52 instead of 23/32! One mark lost only, surely?

You will probably only get 1 mark for that :S
You were certainly meant to show the formula for the amount of water
-use T as the variable (or whatever its called)
-Show the formula = 0
-and then just show the answer with units

Sorry, but you would only get 1-2/3 for that, they dont give 3 marks like that :(
Re: Silly things you did during the exam..
I accidentally wrote a really shit context essay, oh wai-

You've gotta love the wording of these questions:

"A bunch of chocolate is in a bin. When it gets pulled out of the bin, the probability that it is darker is..."

Anyone have a copy of the exam?

Raaaaaage, itute has to be wrong, if you graph it the mean would be way closer to 4.333 than 1.439
