if you're not ranked in top 10 in a strong cohort, but you full mark both exams? (maybe -1/-2 leeway for working but all answers right thus far :|)

i checked the solutions :(
top 10 cohort
40/40 exam 1
65/80 exam 2
40 maybe?

i hope so mate, cos i'm in a similar position with 38 on the first exam and around 69 (;D) on the second exam, and i think that should be close to a 40 on the dot. Maybe at worst a 39?

Oooh do me!

38/40 Exam 1
76/80 Exam 2
Ranked equal fourth (81% average) in an interestingly distridbuted cohort of roughly 12 (those at top are VERY strong while those at bottom struggle)

You guys do all realise that last year, the difference between a 45 and a 50 in spesh was quite minimal, 45 -> 50 and 50 -> 51.6, essentially 1.6 aggregate points, this year, with the predicted higher scaling, the difference would probably be even narrower, so in the end, the difference between a 45 and a 50 would probably be around 1.4-ish aggregate points, which means that it probably won't make a huge difference to your ATAR, probably 0.05 if you're in the 99's so, don't feel to disheartened about dropping a few marks here and there, it won't amount to much in the end!! :)

that's an epic exam 2 score, considering only around a handful of people get full marks for it every year, I would predict around a 47, because you might actually miss the A+ cut-off for exam 1, and also that was quite an easy exam, compared to the past few years

mmmm that's what I thought too, if I do in fact get an A, but then again it still is only 3 marks...which technically is the same as losing 1.5 marks in exam 2? Ah well, stoked anyway, as you said after scaling it won't really matter much :)

Actually it will make a huge difference if you're in the 99. I plugged in some random scores and 45 -> 50 changed my ATAR from 99.05 to 99.30 :O

Hey guys, how about this one.

39/40 exam 1 and
76/80 exam 2
Ranked first.

Also, what is gonna scale to a 50, I'm hoping to get a scaled high 40s or 50 if possible.
