hahahhahaha lolol
howww abouttttt
everyone who reads this, scroll up, look at the random add and state which, if any, linguistic features typical of advertisements are present
ive got:
Quote
Make this summer count. Reduce stress and get a head start in the VCE. Enrol with TSFX today.
i guess this doesnt actually have much other than the the imperative sentence at the beginning and end which are common in adds and theres the visual as well with a bunch of happy people which might be to engage the reader, even though the text kinda contradicts this as its realllyyy impersonal

Haha parataxis? No use of conjunctions indicate a fast-paced and jerky rhythm, goading reader onto action! :D

btw does anybody know what it's called when a persuasive article attempts to personalise the text by using the plurals pronouns "we, us" and "them" and stuff like that, to sorta make the reader think their on the side of the author without noticing it

i always thought it was inclusive language but apparently thats just synonymous with politically correct

just reading that post now, wtf is parataxis lol, ive just read "tmesis" in a list of definitions, geeeez i dont know my shit :D
