I feel like everyone clicked attending on the Facebook event page not realising it was a paid event. Aint nobody got time for paid non-compulsory stuff at uni.

I think most of it is paid, one or two are free but they're the kinda carnival things you'd see on O-week anyway.

I dont know why they put so much effort into promoting something you have to pay for and cant even accommodate like 10% of the campus population. Would have been much better if they made it all free just to add some life to the campus.

Does anyone have a list of units that can be credited for an internal transfer for specific courses? Or anyone with information in which units can be credited towards BPharm (I know CHM and BIO sequences are, but what else)? I've emailed the Student Services Coordinator but there was no definite answer. Thanks guys!

If you apply for an internal transfer and get accepted you'll receive an email saying you'll get credits for this and that unit. You have several days to accept it. Even after accepting your offer, you can still go to the student service and review your units. That's what happened to me.

I'm going to Monash's Open Day tomorrow and just have a quick question. Will there be a way to get from the Clayton campus to the Caulfield one and if possible if anyone knows how long it will take?

Yep, the shuttle bus will be running every half hour between 10am and 4:30pm from the bus loop. It generally takes 15-25 minutes depending on traffic (probably on the shorter side tomorrow since it's a Sunday).

Just to add, in case you planned on starting off at the Caulfield campus, you can also catch it from in front of building H at Caulfield. At the Clayton bus loop, the shuttle will stop at the very first bus bay (it's where each bus is turning in from).

I feel they're actually putting more work into improving the campus more than maybe any other year i've been year. Things are really looking up.

That new seating area on the lawn, the matheson renovation, food trucks, winterfest (even though it is a bit of a fail)!

Week #2 and i've already missed lectures and still haven't finalised my units. Smooth sailing..

So I've just discontinued a unit in order to enrol in a different one - how long will it take for that change to show up in Allocate+ and Moodle?

Yeah I should probably know this by third year but oh well

My experience is that Allocate+ can take anywhere between five minutes and twenty-four hours. I'm not so sure about Moodle.

Election season is coming soon, you first years are in for a treat...

Everyone seen how they ripped the guts out of the matheson? That seems like the kind of thing they could do over the holidays instead of during semester..

So now that I've managed to transfer into the thing I wanted to transfer into, I feel like 80% of my motivation to study has just gone out the window - I'm just not doing my readings and I'm barely concentrating in lectures. We're only a week into the semester, so maybe my mind's still in holiday mode, but I can't shake the feeling that this comes down to a suddenly reduced immediate interest in getting good grades.

What do you all do to motivate yourselves?

Well my motivation is driven by the fact that I want to transfer myself. I guess picturing your future career position and what might not be without the effort put in now might work?
