Thanks guys.

Lastly, I want to change out of one of my units for another unit as I don't believe it is too late yet. Is there anyway I am able to select a unit and suss out what kind of timetable allocations I would have without confirming it or getting rid of my current unit or do I just have to go all in and hope for the best? If I'm being unclear, I want to get rid of a unit and replace it with another unit only if the timetable allocation fits my current three-day a week schedule, and otherwise I won't want to get rid of my current enrolment in the unit. ehh so convoluted.

MUTTS (found in my.monash) and will.io/timetables holds the answers you seek. :P

@Euler Thanks man, it really makes a difference when you have some idea on how to actually do things :) Just found out they listed the booklist for all the books I need, awesome.

A second lastly, what happened to Moonlight Cinema? It was meant to be tonight with >1K people going and I was really excited for it then it was delayed a week and now it has been completely cancelled.

It's usually some administrative issue that stops this from happening, like some concern the university has about how it's planned to be run etc. etc.

They'll probably have something like this sometime later in the year (plus outdoor cinemas are much better when it's fucking freezing anyway)

fees for what? if it's tuition fees than that would be in WES. library fees would be in library tab.

cause the romans died out hundreds of years ago.

I fear I'll see a random with a red coat and say 'hey are you anna.xo' and they'll be like 'wut?'.

Have to bring it up subtly.

"So... do you like... the internet?"
"Uh yeah, sure."
"Oh. Cool, cool. Do you like... use forums and stuff?"
"Er, sometimes."
"Oh, grouse. Uh. How about ATAR Notes?"
"What's that?"
"Oh. Um. Just a... yeah, don't worry."

hey guys,

i am doing MTH1010 and I'm quite far behind missing pretty much every lecture (about 6 or 7 worth) as well as last weeks laboratory because I simply couldn't find the room as well as the workshop. I couldn't catch up as I was locked out of my monash until late yesterday. tomorrow I have a 2 hour laboratory and then a 1 hour lecture (for mth1010) and I really don't want to go because it will just be awkward as I don't know anything, have no books and have no idea what is going on. What is a laboratory and does it matter if i miss it?

Labs are pretty much a tutorial aren't they? It's only the second week, probably go to the class and tell the tutor you need HALP

If it helps everyone else is probably as lost as you. Books are not important. Did not buy a single book in 4 years of my undergrad.

I reckon you're gonna have to turn up eventually. Just turn up.. say you were overseas or something.

yeh cheers. it will just be awkward as because I know nothing and I would have started going next week but I feel guilty missing everything.

edit; nah fuck it, I'm going to give it a miss and go in at like 7am and try catch up on everything tomorrow morning. Better use of my time than sitting there clueless just because I don't know what's going on :S when I find out I have to know shit like the greek alphabet and drawing arrows on a graph (sounds easier than it is) that is where I draw the line :P

if I was you I would either start going and accept I'm behind, in the interests of not missing out on more, or if it didn't mess up my course plan too much, drop the unit and do it later on (though for a foundation maths unit that probably isn't an option without your course plan going to shit).

Yeah I know but it will just be awkward tomorrow :P I can learn it all over  the weekend and catch up pretty easily, I just have an 8am start at uni non stop all the way until 3pm so I can't learn it now ;( With the maths I'm doing I'm behind currently so I can't really learn what we're doing now so it is just kinda pointless and would be really awkward if we did like group activities and people were dependent on me :P I'll be fine in the long run, just mucked around being blocked from my monash :(

Dear Euler:

Nice rant on Monash Stalkerspace :P

Also, sorry for shouting out "Hi Eulerfan it's Zezima" randomly today at Campus Centre. I get confused between real life and Atarnotes sometimes!
