I ordered the Methods enhanced 3&4 from my school unaware that it was for calculators that did not include mine, the TI-89 Titanium. so my question is will
i be able to get by without a text book foe the ti-89? like i know how to do everything from 1&2 on my calculator, is 3&4 pretty much the same or are their new claculator procedures ill need to learn from the text book? should i bother returning it. any advise? ty

In my classes, our teacher taught most of the calc stuff, so I don't think it should really matter, particularly if your teacher does the same.
The other thing was, there are a couple quicker and better methods of using the calc than that which was in the 89 textbook anyway. You're welcome to send me a message to ask if you need anything :)

Edit:

(When I say better ways, I mean...
For binomial/probability stuff, the textbook says that you need to use the stats app, which is quite cumbersome as you can't 'pick up' answers as you normally would in the home screen. But if you just click catalog --> F3 (Flash Apps) and scroll down to the relevant function (binom, invnorm, norm -- dw these will make sense eventually), you can type everything in on the home screen, and also use the answer you get to continue on with questions.

Hope that kinda makes sense.

Agreed with gossamer.
but I would personally get the textbook that suits your calculator... I thought I knew everything I had to know about the calculator by the end of meths 1/2, but I actually learnt quite a bit throughout 3/4 about the calculator.
I guess it doesn't really matter though, if you've got a really good teacher who is a calc guru!

well, get a PDF of your cal version for 3/4 methods and you will be fine.
As aabattery said, if you do have a good teacher then np at all.
Btw aabattery does guru=teacher?

Sorry don't have the pdf...
I'll check around to see who's got it.  :)

And guru doesn't mean teacher... it means like a wizard/ talented person/ specialist at something... in this case, calculators...
