Help Vtac Transfer(Missed Seas) and GPA

Hey guys , First post here.

I applied for through Vtac for Monash arts(global) and normal arts at both caufield and Clayton. Really reeaally want a place.
I called them and they told me try and get a Credit average and emphasised this. I have had finacial and family problems that effected open universities studies earlier this year but I missed the SEAS Application . I have a Distinction,Pass and Fail on that record.

So I was enrolled in university in W.A this semester and just missed two discintions but 1-2 points and got a HD.

I was told by monash off the record I should not have included my previous results but it was already too late.

So all up I have a HD, D, C , C , P , F
Using the 4 point GPA scale I thoguht sweet! that rounds to a 2.05 = Credit average yipee.

I then read this and its a 7 point scale: http://www.vtac.edu.au/adults/grade-point-averages.html.

Which means in fact I wont get a credit average and wind up with a 4.5/7 (pass). . I gave reasoning on my P.I Form but dont think selection officers will read it.

Can anyone help me? Do I still have any chance of getting a place?
