Pretty much just a title question, does anyone actually know?

GA stands for graded assessment - so exams, sacs, sats etc.

What each GA stands for varies for each subject. For example, GA1 could be sacs, GA2: exam 1, GA3: exam 2. Or for another subject, GA1: exam 1, GA2: exam 2, GA3: sacs. Or perhaps GA1: Unit 3 Sacs, GA2: Unit 4 Sacs, GA3: Exam.

There might be a better list of this stuff somewhere (possibly in the admin handbook), but I've just been looking at last years grade distributions to figure out what each represents: http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/vce/statistics/2010/statssect3.html

yeah figures, it would just be good to know what each one specifically corresponds to. If anyone knows for sure, i'd be delighted to find out :)

thanks though

Here's the list in the admin handbook (knew it was somewhere in there!): http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/schooladmin/handbook/2011/AdminHand2011-PartC.pdf

Starts from Section 8, page 85 onwards.

edit: actually where did the 2011 handbook go on the VCAA website :/ there might be slight changes for a few subjects next year.

edit 2: found and updated the link, still same page reference.
