It's not really a ranking, it's just sorted by ATAR score and then alphabetical (or well it's meant to be alphabetical, the automatic filter thing screwed up a bit).

edit: I have now fixed the sort and it's now functioning as it should be.

You entered kwheattt (ATAR 94.30) twice which would have brought the median down.
2012 ATAR - 86.75
2013 ATAR - 88.50

I think this is a more accurate representation of AN's actual median. This is based on "active" or "regular" users (and contributors), defined by me to have 100 or more posts on their profile (I've added Aurelian and totaled, as they were not on the other list yet have 100+ posts):

Aurelian - 99.95
thushan - 99.95
illuminati - 99.90
Pixon - 99.90
totaled - 99.90
funkyducky - 99.85
BoredSaint - 99.75
Jdog - 99.70
paulsterio - 99.65
thatisanote - 99.65
jane1234 - 99.60
luken93 - 99.60
Andiio - 99.55
vea - 99.50
Romperait - 99.40
Acinod - 99.35
pi - 99.35
Menang - 99.15
Nirbaan - 99.15
cltf - 98.65
hala_madrid - 98.40
Tashi - 98.40
Hamdog17 - 98.30
Panicmode - 98.25
xdecay - 97.90

tony3272 - 97.75
lilaznkev1n - 97.45
mickeymouse - 97.45
ttn - 97.45
Chrisjb - 96.35
aes_999 - 95.85
swarley - 95.50
cranberry - 94.85
playsimme - 94.05
Furbob - 94.00
david10d - 93.05
madoscar65 - 92.90

JarrydisBored - 91.10
Hodgeyhodgey - 90.65

Deank - 76.15

..Which gives a median of 98.40, which is actually MORE than the previous median!

Nice work, pi. :D I was only going by the posts in the ATAR/SS Only thread and whatever PM's and stuff I got.

I think we might as well leave the median as it is now, seems that results discussion has slowed to a halt now.

Lol I was thinking this.
A public, non-selective school with a median ATAR of 98.30 and 6% of students scoring the maximum possible ATAR of 99.95 :)
2012 ATAR - 86.75
2013 ATAR - 88.50

As has been pointed out many times, the actual AN median is unfortunately nowhere near as high as that, there's a huge bias here

That's true, higher scorers are more likely to post their scores
