Picking up 1 or 2 subjects next year.

Today I didn't really get the score I was expecting  :'( I can still get into some courses that I want to do but not others. So I was thinking of picking up 1 or 2 subjects next year (I was planning to have a gap year anyway) something that I would be pretty confident that I could do well in (Further Maths). Has anyone else ever done this? Would it be a good idea?

I'd say, if you're doing a leap-year anyway, go for it!

I'm sure you can travel a little in the year as well.

Edit: This is sort of a bias opinion because I'll be doing a single VCE subject in my leap-year. As I see it, a gap between high school and university is pretty dire - you need to get your footing.
