Getting into Melbourne Arts?

 Hi so my ATAR is 89.45 and the Clearly-In for 2011 is 88 but mum is overly stressing saying that I may not have a chance to get into Melbourne Uni becuase the Clearly-In for 2012 may rise to 90 (apparently in 2005 the clearly in for arts was 93  ).  Is this true that I may not be able to get in?

Well yes it is true that you MAY not get in. Can't say more than that though.

I would expect you to get an offer. Potentially 2nd round depending on what happens.

No one here can really give a definite answer, but I have to agree with those above. There is a chance that you may not get an offer 1st round if the ATAR goes up to 90. However, I personally think the ATAR wouldn't be going up since there's a little trend where UOM has been having increased spots for courses as years go by due to increased funding. So keep your hopes up.

Are you a Melbourne Access Applicant? If so, you WILL get in to Arts (even as low as 78 Atar) first round.

Okay thanks guys!! And no I'm not a melbourne access applicant...
But I guess I just have to prepare for the worse and hope I can at least manage to scrape through!!
