Hi everyone,
I received a 61 ATAR score when I know that I am capable of achieving an 85+ to get into Melbourne Science. Right before the VCE examinations, a close friend of mine passed away and caused extreme grief for me and others around. I'm not trying to use this as an excuse but it destroyed my mood for the next month (I didn't apply for SEAS because I felt that as if I would be cheating the system - I know, stupid me) and I'm guessing it had a negative effect on my performance.
Seeing as I can't get into Science at Melbourne University, could I possibly do the Applied Science course at RMIT and average high distinctions to transfer into Science at Melbourne University in 6-12 months time? What are the possibilities of this actually happening? Are transfers a rare occurrence especially from such a course as this? And lastly, would this Applied Science degree even prepare me for a B.Sci at Melbourne? Would I be able to restart the degree from the beginning if the transfer is successful?
My dream is to achieve the Doctor of Dental Surgery at Melbourne but this dream seems so unrealistic at the moment.

What can I do?
Thank you all for reading.
