Doesn't this mean that his son, who is even more of a maniac than he is, comes into power now?

I'm just going to say it, as long as your not their leader nacho I think things will be all right.
‎"We divert our attention from disease and death as much as we can; and the slaughter-houses and indecencies without end on which our life is founded are huddled out of sight and never mentioned, so that the world we recognize officially in literature and in society is a poetic fiction far handsomer and cleaner and better than the world that really is."

Were the civilians of North Koreans were force to cry in front of the media?

Did the communists told the civilians to confront their sorrows and emotion in front of the media (due to Kim Jong-il's death)?

sorry for being rude, but thats just my natural instincts.

I'm guessing that they weren't directly told to cry.
But if you don't cry, you'd be the black sheep in the crowd and probably get jailed/killed

abd123: The lack of precision and clarity in your post makes it hard for me to tell what your point is. Are you implying they were forced or weren't? Where are you going with this? Natural instincts = angry at oppression or all people deserve to be treated well, even KJI?

Really, that post could be interpreted either way.

EDIT: My personal opinion: The oppression of the North Korean people is horrendous, but it's wrong to celebrate a death, no matter whose death it is.

Something close to that, i just don't know if they weren't crying for him for real or not. It just seemed like there was a brute force upon the civilians to do what they are told from the communists.

@Funkyducky, sorry my english fails lol, I guess i was implying that they were force to cry. Sorry for the confusion ignore my stupidity, i just use longwords and cool words to sound smart i guess its not working :/.

LOL, some American politician pronounced him as "Kim Jong the second".

I think it would have helped if he had seen this: KIM JONG-IL
instead of this: Kim Jong-Il

You are seriously delusional, you cannot force that many people to convey sadness and grief.

The regime they have been subject has for lack of a better word 'brainwashed' them into believing that their leader was actually all that the government claimed he was. These people are genuinely upset and distraught.

This is my honest opinion, but I also felt that the crying was pretty much staged. Sure, there would be some in grief and shock, but I think all the scenes we see on Western television is what they WANT us to see, and I can't see how that isn't staged.
