Specialist Maths:
GA1: School: 96/100 Final: 96/100
GA2: 39/40 (A+ cutoff was 38.5)
GA3: 78/80 (A+ cutoff was 71.5)

Wtf how is that not a 47-49... I'd hate to be someone that got a 48-49 Because there scores would probably be like
GA1: 99/100
GA2: 39/40
GA3: 79/80

Seems so unfair that the people that get 50s arent necessarily the best at the end of the day they were just the ones that didn't make any stupid mistakes or got lucky...

This is most subjects. Especially further.

Got English today.

GA1 95 --->98/100
GA2 100 --->100/100
GA3 47/60

SS 43

47 was the A+ cut-off. FML Text response 18, Context 15, LA 14.
I reckon it's partly cos I didn't really talk about the pictures :S Little surprised, got "definitely 10" for my practice exam LA and another I did pre-exam, so I didn't do any LAs during swotvac, it was my best section... oh well. Now I know where I lost marks, I can have my peace of mind. A 7 and 8 for a 2 page context essay isn't so bad, and my text response score is good, two 9s :D Disappointed, but my mind is at ease now.
I'm a slow thinker and a slow writer, I can't do essays under time pressure. Give me time and I'll give you the best pieces of writing you've ever seen, but when I'm short on time, I just can't work as well.
I won the GAT: 49/50/50.

FD, it's not only you, at least 14/20 is bearable, I got 10/20 for LA after pretty much hitting the nail on the head for my LA SAC and doing well in LAs throughout practice exams =.="

Btw, I'm suprised at context, I wrote a really short piece as well (in 35 mins ;D) and scored well in comparison to spending the 1hr 10min on LA :(

Istafa, on Spesh you scored 96, 39, 78 and I scored 100, 39.5, 74.5 and we got the same study score, don't you find that a little weird? haha! D: it's intrigued me now!! Samad got the same as me on Exam 1 and beat me by 4 marks and got a study score 1 higher than me, I guess either, SACs actually mean a lot, or there were A LOT of people who did VERY well in spesh this year :S

Anyways, touching on the other topic that's been on my mind, I dropped a mark on tha t graph too, although I don't know why either, ahh dammitt! but hmm, I guess SACs bailed me out of trouble in spesh as well :D (*relief*)

I'm finally satisfied to say, as well, that methods is a lot more lenient than spesh, dropping 2 marks on Exam 2 and ending up with a 49, I don't think that would happen in Spesh ;D

did you get 10's for context and text response, since you got a 5 in LA o:

No :P I got 9/10 for Text and 8.5/10 for Context, but I did well on SACs, 98/100 and 100/100, so I guess that helped me a lot, I got an A on the exam (45/60)

I new that Further would be like that. But Spesh? I thought there would be more leniency...

Further isn't even that bad really. I think I lost 5-6 marks over both and still got 45.

That's still bad in comparison to some subjects. In some subjects, you can lose 5 marks or more, over both Exams and score a 50. e.g. samad lost 6 marks across both Chemistry Exams and received a 50.

It's weird this year.. Im sure i lost at least 6 marks (best case), but leaning towards 8 marks in further exam 2.
Ended up with 46 o.O

2011 - English Biology Chemistry Further Methods

Psych you can lose quite a bit, particularly this year with such a low A+ cut off. In 2010, I lost 20.5 marks over both exams and got 44.

Figured out what migh have happened with MHS sacs and why no scaling: They scale internally so VCAA barely changes them (only a speculation)

cocked up the written examination in french, my oral saved me.

English waqs a bit weird. Throughout the whole year, id been relatively shit at context, and boning text responses and language analysis. The opposite happened in the exam. half a mark away from a 50 though is frustratingly close,
